We’re Heartbroken to Share This News

It pains us deeply to say this: Tito Santana Taqueria is now closed.

This is the post we hoped we’d never have to write.

After years of serving Beacon with love, laughter, and tacos, we’ve had to make the incredibly painful decision to close Tito Santana Taqueria — not because we wanted to, but because we were forced into it.

Despite our best efforts, we’ve been in a long, difficult battle with a landlord who has continuously failed to address serious issues with the building we called home. Crumbling infrastructure, dangerous conditions, and blatant neglect made it impossible — and unsafe — to continue operating.

We tried to hold on. We really did.

This place wasn’t just a taqueria. It was a meeting spot. A kitchen for the community. A place where stories were told, friends were made, and life happened. Losing it like this — not to failure, but to PERSISTENT LANDLORD NEGLIGENCE — is devastating.

From ignored repair requests to unsafe conditions and repeated disregard for our well-being, we did everything we could to hold on. But we simply couldn’t operate under these conditions any longer. This is not how we wanted our story to end.

We Need Your Help to Fight Back

This isn’t just our story — this is happening to small businesses across Beacon and beyond. And we’re not going quietly.

We’ve launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise $15,000 to:

  • Help cover legal fees
  • Launch a public awareness campaign
  • Hold landlords accountable for unsafe and unethical practices

Everyone who donates $25 or more will receive a limited-edition Tito Santana T-shirt. It’s our way of saying thank you — and showing the world you stand with small businesses.

We’re So Sorry

To our loyal customers, friends, and neighbors — we’re truly sorry. We never wanted it to end this way. You made Tito Santana more than a taco joint. You made it a family. A movement. A home.

We hope you’ll help us keep fighting — for ourselves, and for every small business that deserves better.

With gratitude,
— The Tito Santana Team
